Answer:

Business Shield is a cybersecurity software–based solution that integrates multiple security tools to help protect personal computers, servers, virtual machines, and Apple mobile devices. The platform is designed to support the overall security and health of your organization’s IT infrastructure.

Business Shield helps monitor system health by scanning computers and servers for viruses, blocking malicious network traffic, and managing operating system and software patches and updates. What happens after I purchase a Home or Business Shield Cybersecurity package?

Answer:

After your purchase is complete, you will receive an email from our onboarding team containing download and installation instructions. The software is designed for self-installation; however, assistance is available for both Home and Business customers who would like help with setup.

Home Users

Detailed installation instructions will be provided. If you prefer for our team to complete the installation on your behalf, a one-time installation fee of $10.00 applies. Installation is provided at no cost for senior customers.

Business Users

For business users the procedure is the same with 1 exception. If we install, we will deploy using a GPO because of the amount of computers and servers. Install charges are calculated into onboarding costs and vary based on the size of an organization.

Can Home or Business Shield Antivirus products remove new and existing viruses?

Answer:

As of 1/1/2026 Artificial Intelligence is included in our SaaS (Software As A Service) Cybersecurity product. Our position before that we did have this feature and therefore would answer the above "No" to new viruses and "Yes" to existing viruses. Now we can effectively say "Yes" our SaaS Cybersecurity product now has the ability to detect and respond to viruses of unknown origin. However, there are new Ai infused viruses that are learning to evade detection. Google has reported they have responded to this threat. But other platforms to date hasn't. What does that mean to the consumer? Some protection is better than none. And nowadays, staying protected requires a combination of reliable tools and proactive security measures. Our SaaS products are the answer to taking proactive security measures to protect your data.

What does "limited support" mean?

Answer:

If you see limited support on any software package you choose, typically this means we can tell you what is wrong, but will charge support fee's to resolve your issues. Example: NEW virus is found on your computer and our antivirus cannot remove automatically. What we do in cases like these is report the virus to the national database, and charge customer hourly rate to remove the new virus.

Home Users

Detailed installation instructions will be provided. If you prefer for our team to complete the installation on your behalf, a one-time installation fee of $8.00 applies. Installation is provided at no cost for senior customers.

Business Users

Limited Support does not apply to businesses.

What if OTWTechGroup cannot remove a virus?

Answer:

Unfortunately we can't resolve some support issues. We can not guarantee we can remove all viruses or malware, automatically or manually. But we will attempt (depending on your package) to remove at not cost to you. If you are in a "lite" package, you will be charged upfront for the first hour. If we have no progress within the first hour, we will not schedule a second hour and inform the client that this is an unresolvable matter until a legitimate fix is built by the manufacture of our product. If there is progress, we will schedule a second hour at which the customer will be charged before starting the next hour of support.
